At the time this was taken Kyle was the lead for our group of engineers in Shanghai and a fun guy who made me feel welcome. Even at this point he had been in China long enough to where he couldn't handle the food, so I found it amusing that he'd go to the convenience store and get American junk food to eat so he could avoid the "oily" cafeteria food. He was right though - that food was pretty oily and bad - something even our Shanghai co-workers would acknowledge.
